HMM 2028
The 9th International Symposium on History of Machines and Mechanisms will be held in Rome, Italy, from Wednesday 10 to Friday 12 May 2028.
The aim of the Symposium is to provide an international forum for presenting and discussing historical developments and achievements in the field of Machine and Mechanism Science (MMS).
This is the 9th event of a Symposium series that was started in 2000 in Cassino (Italy), as main activity of the IFToMM PC for History of MMS.

Paper Submission
Full papers should be submitted through the Springer OCS web system to be indicated on the symposium website. Guidelines for the layout of the full papers will be available in the symposium website with Springer format.
At least one registration is required per submitted paper.
Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings by Springer, in a volume of the series on the History of Mechanism and Machine Science http://www.springer.com/series/7481
There will be three awards (gold, silver and bronze) for each category: Student Paper, History Paper. Gold awards will get a Springer voucher.
Location
HMM2028 will be held in Roma, the capital of Italy.
Rome can be reached easily both by train, plane, ship and by car. Rome is a well-known city with monuments built for more than 2500 years. The city is full of evidence of its history. In May the weather is fine, sunny with near 25°C.
In Rome there are many hotels in all the categories. The average cost for a 3-star hotel is about 70 Euro. Early reservation is recommended by contacting directly hotels or through the conference Secretariat.
Tor Vergata Campus is just outside the ring and easy to reach by public transportation.
